Tulsa's Animal Expo Promotes Special Adoption Rates

TULSA, OK -- October is "Adopt-An-Animal" month, and the City of Tulsa Animal Welfare Shelter held the second annual Trick or Treat Animal Expo Saturday.

They hope to tempt animal lovers with a special rate on adoption that is available all month.

Tulsa and Green Country area rescues, shelters and animal advocacy groups provided visitors with information about their services and resources in booths, and animals were available for adooption.

There were also obedience and agility demonstrations, a pet showcase, tours of the shelter and photographers on hand to capture the moment. A pet costume parade was another highlight.

Special adoption rates of $75 for the first animal and $25 for the second continue all month.
