STILLWATER, OK -- A history class at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater is searching for former residents and staff of Murray Hall to take part in an oral history project.

The project will capture the experiences and memories of OSU students and staff in Murray Hall, which first opened in 1934.

Renovation of the former residence hall, part of a statewide bond issue totaling about $16 million in 2005, recently was completed.

"Since the 1930s, Murray Hall has provided some of the most memorable moments in the history of OSU," said Bill Bryans, a history professor at OSU. "From residence halls to academic offices, thousands have passed through its unique white crab-orchard stone walls. My students hope to capture these memories."

The project will be included in the O-STATE Stories collection found at www.library.okstate.edu/oralhistory/ostate.

To participate in the project, contact Bryans at 405-744-8179 or bill.bryans@okstate.edu.
