TULSA, OK -- Police are investigating the stabbing of a Tulsa man Friday night. The man was stabbed following an apparent neighborhood dispute.

Tulsa police, fire and EMSA were called out to the 2200 block of East 8th Street in response to the stabbing at about 9:30 p.m. Friday.  At first emergency crews had some difficulty treating the victim because his dog was protecting him.

The suspect is a neighbor who lives in the same duplex, according to Sgt. Mike Brown of the Tulsa Police Department.  The man is described as a white male with long hair who works at a tattoo shop and goes by the name 'Rocky."

The victim was taken to surgery, and it appears his wounds are not life-threatening, police say.

Anyone with information about the crime or the whereabouts of "Rocky" is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS or 911.
