Tulsa Bank Of The West Branch Robbed

Officers are looking for a suspect in the robbery of a Bank of the West Branch in Tulsa. The branch located at 2201 East 21 Street was robbed shortly before 1:00 Saturday afternoon.

TULSA, OK -- Officers are looking for a suspect in the robbery of a Bank of the West Branch in Tulsa. The branch located at 2201 East 21 Street was robbed shortly before 1:00 Saturday afternoon.

Tulsa Police Sgt. Dave Walker said the suspect walked into the bank and waited in line for several minutes. The suspect then showed a customer the gun and in a low voice told the customer he would shoot her if bank employees did not give him all the money, said Sgt. Walker.

An employee then went to the teller window to wait on the suspect. The suspect showed the employee the gun and said he would shoot the customer if he did not get the money, said Sgt. Walker. 

The teller handed the suspect money. The suspect took the money and then ran away.

The suspect is described as a tan, white man, 5'10" - 6'00" and 170-180 pounds. He had a full beard, described as fake and neatly trimmed, with rigid lines around the cheeks and mustache. He was described as wearing safety glasses with an orange tint, brown and green camouflaged jacket and pants and black high top tennis shoes with Velcro strips. The gun is described as a black semi automatic pistol.
