TULSA---The kids at Cooper Elementary School thought they were in the auditorium for a sing-along this morning when Santa showed up. Dozens of employees from Kimberly-Clark in Jenks had brought a wrapped toy for every child.
‘Every year we want to give back to the community,' said Kim Jones, the Human Resources Manager for Kimberly-Clark, ‘and so we chose a school, a quite large school, to do that. This school was especially needy because they have lost a couple of children to H1N1 this year, so we also adopted those families and did a little extra for them.'
Santa and his elves went from room to room passing our presents and asking for nothing more than a smile. In addition to the toys bought by Kimberly-Clark employees, gifts were also given to the staff members of Cooper Elementary.
‘It's great,' said Principal Barbara Penrose, ‘you look around and you see the employees of Kimberly-Clark and the tears in their eyes, but also the staff watching their kids open up presents.
