OKLAHOMA CITY -- A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook parts of central Oklahoma Saturday afternoon, according to preliminary reports from the Oklahoma Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the quake was 3 miles east-northeast of Sparks in Lincoln County and 22 miles north-northeast of Shawnee.
Dozens of viewers called NEWS 9 to report the quake as far away as Edmond and southeast Norman.
Viewers in Prague said the quake knocked several pictures off their walls.
"It shook really bad. It almost felt like a bomb," said Samantha Cordell, who was at the Prague Community Center at the time of the quake. "It felt like something exploded outside the community center."
No serious damage has been reported.
The largest quake ever recorded in Oklahoma was a 5.5 magnitude quake that hit El Reno in 1952, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The Oklahoma Geological Survey would like anyone who felt the quake to report it on their Web site.
