MUSKOGEE, OK -- The father of the alleged gunman in the Muskogee mall fatal shooting has been arrested.
Donald Fowler, 38, is charged with tampering with evidence.
His 19-year-old son, Dondray Fowler, listened quietly at an arraignment on Monday afternoon in the Muskogee County Courthouse. Dondray was charged Friday with first-degree murder and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon. He appeared in front of the judge via closed circuit television.
Minutes later, his father, Donald Fowler, sat in the same chair to hear the charges against him. He's being held for tampering with evidence. But the D.A. isn't saying what evidence.
"At this time I'm not able to comment on that, but it's in relation to the shooting at the mall," said Larry Moore, Muskogee County D.A.
Investigators originally thought 16-year-old Michael Mayberry fired the shot that killed 17-year-old Jarrod Reed at Muskogee's Arrowhead Mall on April 10th. But after police learned more, the murder charges were dropped.

However, Mayberry is still a material witness in the mall shooting. Mayberry is charged with assault with a deadly weapon in a separate case -- a drive-by shooting on April 3rd.
"He's still being held without bond on another case that involved a shooting in which he is a defendant," said Moore.
Police say they do have the gun that was involved in the shooting. They say it was found in a house in Muskogee.
