Tulsa Mayor In Washington D.C. For Lobbying Trip

The Tulsa Chamber and some elected officials left Monday for a lobbying trip to Washington D.C.

TULSA, OK – The Tulsa Metro Chamber and several elected officials, including Tulsa's mayor left Monday for a lobbying trip to Washington D.C.

More than 40 business leaders have joined city officials to meet with Oklahoma's congressional delegation.

See list of attendees and issues to be addressed.

"First of all the Gilcrease Expressway, I'll be talking with people at the Department of Transportation, and the White House, and I'll be with transportation secretary Gary Ridley, so we'll be talking about that quite a lot," said Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett.

Mayor Bartlett says he's also going to be lobbying for Tulsa to be picked as a permanent home for one of the retiring space shuttles.
