OKLAHOMA CITY -- Eggs have been recalled in Oklahoma, but the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports there haven't been any reported illnesses. But many people are playing it safe. And that's good news for local producers.
Business has gone up 30 percent for local egg producers and they're seeing plenty of new faces at the farmers market.
Wayne Jesko sells practically everything in every basic food group, including dairy.
"This is what I grew up on," said Jesko. "We never got eggs from the store."
And business is bustling for his family at the OSU-OKC Farmers Market.
"We average selling about 200 dozen a week," Jesko said.
And he has plenty of loyal customers come back every weekend.
"These eggs are the best, this is the only place I like to get them," said farmers market customer Ann Sloan. "They're wholesome, there's nothing in the yolk and they're just a really good egg."
