Body Of Salina Man Killed In Motorcycle Accident Not Found For 17 Hours

Salina resident Idess Scroggins died of massive injuries in an accident south of Langley on Oklahoma highway 82.

NEAR LANGLEY, OKLAHOMA -- A Salina man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday night, August 28th, 2010, but his body wasn't discovered until the next afternoon.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Idess Wayne Scroggins, 32, died of massive injuries in the wreck south of Langley on Oklahoma Highway 82 in Mayes County.

The OHP says Scroggins was driving south on the highway at about 10 p.m. Saturday when his motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road and struck a tree.

OHP troopers say his body wasn't found until Sunday afternoon, more than 17 hours later.

Troopers say Scroggins was not wearing a helmet.
