Funeral Services Set for Murdered Tecumseh Couple

TECUMSEH, Oklahoma – Funeral services have been set in Oklahoma and Missouri for a Tecumseh couple murdered in New Mexico.

Prosecutors said Gary and Linda Haas, both 61, were killed August 2 by inmates who escaped from an Arizona prison.

Relatives said the couple took a camping trip every year to Colorado. Investigators believed escaped inmates John McCluskey and Tracy Province – along with their accomplice Casslyn Welch – targeted the couple for their camping trailer.

The bodies of Gary and Linda Haas were found in their burned-out trailer in Santa Rosa, New Mexico.

A funeral service for the couple will be held Thursday, Sept. 2 at Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee.

Another service will be held in the couple's hometown of Southwest City, Missouri, Sept. 4. They will also be buried in Southwest City.
