6-Year-Old Boy Hit By Car in Parking Lot at Luther Football Game

OKLAHOMA CITY -- A Luther child was hospitalized after he was struck by a vehicle outside the Luther football stadium Friday night.

The game was stopped as a medical helicopter landed on the field to take the 6-year-old boy to an Oklahoma City hospital.

One witness said it appeared the boy had a head injury.

A Luther police officer said the child ran into the street and a passing vehicle struck him. The investigation into what happened is ongoing, the officer said.

The boy's condition is not known at this time.
