Lacie Lowry joined News On 6 as a reporter in July 2010. She was promoted to weekend anchor in September of 2012, but continues her work as a reporter during the week.
Lacie is an award-winning journalist from Rockwall, Texas and received a Bachelor of Arts in telecommunications from Baylor University.
When first trying to find her footing in the industry, Lowry ventured to New York City and interned at both MTV and Madison Square Garden Network's "Sports Desk." She then interned on Capitol Hill and landed her first on-air job at KTXS-TV in Abilene, Texas as the 6 p.m. anchor and daily reporter. After three years in West Texas, Lowry headed south to Harlingen, Texas to work at KGBT-TV. She spent another three years there as an anchor and reporter before moving to Tulsa. Lowry has covered everything from wildfires to hurricanes and crimes to human interest stories and is happy to call Oklahoma her new home.
Lowry has been nominated for a Lone Star Emmy during her time as an anchor and reporter and has received a Texas AP numerous times for Breaking News, Continuing Coverage and Deadline Editing.
In her downtime, Lowry loves to play and watch sports. She also enjoys spending time with her dog and deepening her skills in photography.
