Lisa Geresi was the top fundraiser on LeAnne's Team.October 5, 2010
My, oh my! I've finally recovered from this year's Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and what a race! We had more than 12,000 participants and raised more than $800,000. My team came in strong, raising more than $6,000 for the cause.
A great big "thank you" to all who signed up to help make this the largest team to date with 210 members! Hats off to Lisa Geresi! She was the top fundraiser on my team for this year. She raised more than a $1,000! Thank you!
Now we are on to October and breast cancer awareness month. You'll see a lot of pink over the next few weeks. The NFL rolled out the pink to raise awareness on a national scale. Local football teams will be doing the same.
Many groups and organizations are doing their part to show their pink power. If you have pictures from your event, send them to pics@newson6.net and put the word "Pink" in the subject line. They'll show up here on this web page. Wear your pink with pride and help continue in the fight against breast cancer!
