Aftershocks Recorded from Wednesday's Earthquake

Oklahomans are still talking about Wednesday's earthquake. People hundreds of miles away felt it and many are wondering about aftershocks.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahomans are still talking about Wednesday's earthquake. People hundreds of miles away felt it and many are wondering about aftershocks.

Late Thursday afternoon the Oklahoma Geological Survey revised the magnitude to a 4.7 quake.

Since Wednesday's earthquake, the geological survey has measured at least three aftershocks. They're small so it's likely no one felt them. Researchers said quakes of 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude quakes are typically the smallest felt by humans.

Last night around 6:55 p.m., an aftershock of 1.3 was measured just west of the epicenter in Norman.

Around 11:02 p.m., a 2.0 magnitude aftershock hit just northwest of the epicenter.

And then around 7:20 a.m. Thursday morning, another aftershock was registered at 1.4 near Ada in Pontotoc County.
