Accidental Shooting Leads To Crash Near Tulsa Hospital

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Two people are in a Tulsa hospital after wreck late Monday night in midtown Tulsa.

Tulsa Police say it all started with an accidental shooting at a north Tulsa home.

Police say a man was intoxicated at an engagement party when he got out a gun and accidentally fired it, hitting a woman in the leg.

The pair got into the man's truck and took off for the hospital.

Police say the couple was heading south on Utica when the truck crashed into an SUV traveling east on 15th Street.

Police say the driver of the pickup truck didn't stop until a few blocks away.

The female driver of the SUV wasn't injured, but the man and woman in the pickup truck were rushed to the hospital.

EMSA says both the man and woman suffered head injuries in the wreck.

Police say the driver of the pickup truck will likely face charges after being released from the hospital.
