TULSA, Oklahoma -- Santa Claus made an early stop in Tulsa Friday. He helped hand out presents to a very special group of developmentally disabled students at Kendall-Whittier Elementary.

The Downtown Tulsa Lions Club donated money for the gifts, $25 for each student.

Teachers do the shopping and wrapping, then the Lions Club throws a big holiday party with Santa and his elves as the guests of honor.

"This is my Christmas. This is our Christmas," said Fred Campbell, with the Downtown Tulsa Lions Club. "We enjoy this. Seeing smiles on children's faces - that's what Christmas is to a lot of us."

The Lions Club has been doing this for more than 30 years and now gives presents to 33 classes in Tulsa Public Schools.
