UNDATED – Oklahomans in 28 counties voted on school bond issues, tax proposals or city council elections Tuesday.
Voters in Glenpool rejected all three propositions on their ballot: A $1 million bond proposal for streets, a $4.3 million bond proposal for a sports complex, and a $1.7 bond proposal to build a cemetery.
"Its a tough time for people," said Glenpool Mayor Shayne Buchanan, in response to the vote.
"I believe these projects were perceived as enhancements, but not essentials, at this time. I respect the decision of the voters, and will take their message to heart as we move forward with the people's business."

Two school bond issues were on the ballot in Jenks. Voters approved both measures: a nearly $7 million bond for construction and a $125,000 bond for transportation.
Voters in Muskogee County rejected a $20 million bond issue for Hilldale Public Schools. The money would have gone to build a new high school and cafeteria, but it came with a 39 percent property tax hike.
