TULSA, Oklahoma -- An overnight police chase ended with three people taken to the hospital. Tulsa police tried to pull over a speeding car at about 10 p.m. Thursday just north of Interstate 244 on Sheridan.
The driver refused to stop, and the car sped south on Sheridan Road. At 21st Street, the car sideswiped another vehicle and continued south. It finally came to a stop after colliding head on with a sport utility vehicle sitting at a stoplight at 31st and Sheridan.
The driver of the car ran away from the accident scene but was quickly taken into custody. Two teenage passengers in the car were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The woman driving the SUV was also taken to a hospital with a possible broken leg.
Police determined that the speeding car had been stolen.
