TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oklahoma law enforcement agencies are taking a different approach to stop drunk driving this holiday season.

They're not just going after intoxicated drivers, but also the people who serve them.

At a news conference Tuesday, area police departments announced they're teaming up with the Highway Patrol and the ABLE Commission to make sure people celebrate safely.

Not only will officers and troopers patrol the roads, but investigators will also go into bars and clubs to enforce liquor laws, hoping to stop drunk drivers before they ever get behind the wheel.

"We're warning you in advance, make plans for your celebration and do it responsibly, because not only are we going to hold you accountable for your action, but we're going to go after the social host," said Broken Arrow Police Sgt. Ed Ferguson

AAA Oklahoma is once again offering Tipsy Tow. A tow truck driver will give you, your car, and one other person a free ride home within 15 miles of pick-up point.

The free service runs through midnight, January 1st in Tulsa and Muskogee. Just call 1-800-AAA-HELP.
