BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- A set of bones that was found in a historic building in Bartlesville in December were not human.

Workers refurbishing the May Brothers Building discovered the bones under the main stairway leading to the second floor of the 100-year-old structure.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's Office declined to open a case when it was determined the bones were not human.

Crews are working to restore the building that was destroyed by fire on August 31, 2009.
