TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police say a man they believe was driving under the influence of alcohol caused a five-car collision in a mid-town Tulsa neighborhood at about 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

Resident Ann Inness was asleep when her son woke her to say something had happened to her car. When she came out to look, her Chevrolet was in a neighbor's yard two doors down.

The driver that caused the chain reaction wreck had turned off Lewis and was eastbound on 6th Street. He was driving fast and lost control of his Toyota Tacoma, just after passing Atlanta. Tulsa Police Officer Gerard Schrader said the truck veered to the right of the roadway where several people had parked their cars.

The truck hit Inness' orange Chevy, pushing it into and over a black Saturn owned by Josh Barber. The Chevy landed in a front yard two houses away.

The Saturn was pushed into a gold Mercury which then struck a pickup.

The Toyota Tacoma continued to the intersection of 6th and Birmingham before stopping, leaving a trail of debris down half the block. The driver of the Tacoma was uninjured. He was arrested and taken to David L. Moss Jail for testing, Schrader said, but they believe tests will show the driver had been drinking.

All the other vehicles were unoccupied.

"The right side looks pretty good," Josh Barber said of his black Saturn. He hopes his insurance will take care of the rest of the vehicle.
