TULSA, Oklahoma -- A robbery suspect was treated for injuries Saturday morning after a Tulsa man chased him down and confronted him.

Police say that at about 3:45 a.m., a south Tulsa homeowner heard something outside and looked out to see a man breaking into his car. The resident ran outside to confront the robber who then took off in nearby vehicle.

The resident jumped in his truck and chased the robbery suspect down in the 6900 block of East 72nd Street.

"Basically the homeowner subdued one of the suspects," said Tulsa Police Officer Malcolm Wightman.

"There was a pretty good fight, and the suspect definitely got the bad end of the deal on it."

The suspect was taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the confrontation.

Wightman said the suspect will most likely face charges for robbery from a vehicle. The victim is currently facing no charges.
