Tulsa Man In Jail After A Domestic Assault Late Monday

TULSA, Oklahoma -- A 33-year-old Tulsa man was arrested early Tuesday morning for domestic assault and battery stemming from an incident at an apartment complex.

Tulsa Police were called to the London Square apartments at 59th and Lewis just after 8 p.m. Monday.

A woman told officers that Stanley Jones had assaulted her and he had a rifle.

After trying to talk him out, officers called out the department's special operations team.

A building at the complex was evacuated.

After firing tear gas into the apartment at about 1 a.m., Jones surrendered and was taken to the Tulsa County jail.

He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of domestic assault and battery by strangulation and pointing a deadly weapon with intent.
