Cornerstone Set For Sand Springs Fine Arts Elementary

SAND SPRINGS, Oklahoma -- Grand Lodge of Oklahoma and the Sand Springs Masonic Lodge presented a cornerstone for the new Northwoods Fine Arts Academy which serves Sand Springs' youngest students.

The new facility is going up right now. It will be home to students at Sand Springs North Elementary who focus on fine arts as part of an immersion program.

"We obviously continue those important skills of reading and math, but we also integrate fine arts," said Sand Springs Superintendent Lloyd Snow.

The district will move into the new building over the winter break and start holding classes in January.
