ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico – The Oklahoma State women’s basketball team continued its run through the Preseason WNIT with a 70-56 win over New Mexico Wednesday.

Andrea Riley and Tegan Cunningham both scored more than 20 points, and the defense held New Mexico (2-1) to less than 36 percent shooting.

Both teams played evenly in the first half, and Oklahoma State (3-0) carried a 34-33 lead into the locker room. The Cowgirls opened the second half on a 9-1 run and did not give up the lead for the rest of the game.

Riley led all scorers with 22 points, but shot just 6-of-22 from the floor. However, she did make all 10 of her free throws. Cunningham added 20 points on 7-of-9 shooting, including 4-of-4 on 3-pointers.

No other Cowgirls scored more than 10 points, but the OSU bench did add 15 points. Amanda Best led New Mexico with 15 points, while Lauren Taylor added 10.
