HOUSTON -- The Oral Roberts women’s basketball team picked up its largest victory of the season with a 107-67 win at Houston Baptist on Saturday.
Five different players scored in double figures, led by Kevi Luper’s 28-point performance. The former Adair standout was one steal and two rebounds from a triple-double.
The Golden Eagles also received 15-point efforts from Jaci Bigham and Jordan Pyle. Janae Voelker added 11 and Alex Adekunle recorded her first double-digit scoring performance with 10 points.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 33-13 lead with an early 21-4 run and went into the half up by 27. The lead was 25 seven minutes into the second half before ORU turned the game into a rout with a 20-0 run.
The Golden Eagles shot 51 percent from the field, while holding the Huskies to just 36 percent shooting.
ORU (3-1) continues its road trip on Monday when they visit Sam Houston State.
