ORU's Warren Niles Named Co-Player of the Week

The freshman guard was named Summit League men’s basketball co-player of the week, alongside IPRW’s Deilvez Yearby.

TULSA, Oklahoma -- The Golden Eagles’ Warren Niles was named Summit League men’s basketball co-player of the week Tuesday, sharing the award with IPRW’s Deilvez Yearby.

The guard set an ORU freshman scoring record after scoring 39 points against IUPUI. He ended the game with seven rebounds, three steals and two assists. He went 13-for-23 shooting, hitting eight of his 10 free throws and five of his 10 three-point attempts.

Niles averaged 27 points this week, 6.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.0 steals. He shot 59.4 percent and 50 from behind the arc this week.

ORU will host Tulsa Wednesday, Jan. 20 in the annual Mayor’s Cup game. Tipoff is slated for 7:05 p.m.
