Tommy Mason-Griffin Named Big 12 Rookie of the Week

Point guard Tommy Mason-Griffin was named Big 12 Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week after a strong couple of performances.

Against Iowa State on Wednesday, Mason-Griffin logged 38 points – the highest scoring performance in the Big 12 this season. The 38-point effort was the most by a Sooner rookie since Wayman Tisdale in 1983.

He followed that up with a nine-point performance against Nebraska. He averaged 23.5 points and 5.0 assists in the two games.
