TULSA, Oklahoma -- Oral Roberts never trailed and made quick work of IUPUI, defeating the Jaguars 114-43 Saturday. ORU set a new team record in steals with 32 and forced 47 IUPUI turnovers. The 114 points and 71-point victory are the second largest margins in school history.
Kevi Luper almost outscored IUPUI by herself finishing with 34 points. Savanna Buck and Alex Adekunle chipped-in 16 points each while Jaci Bigham added 13.
The Golden Eagles (17-8, 11-3) jumped out to a 21-2 lead and the rout got even worse from there. ORU led 54-14 at halftime.
IUPUI (2-22, 1-12) managed very little offense in the second half. The Jaguars were held scoreless for nearly four minutes to open the second half. Meanwhile ORU capitalized by going on an 18-0 run to push its lead to 72-14.
IUPUI shot just 30 percent from the floor while ORU shot 50 percent from the 3-point line, connecting on 11 of its attempts. The Golden Eagles also went 33-of-37 (89 percent) from the free throw line.
Briannica Tye had 12 points for the Jaguars.
