LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – The Tulsa Drillers could only muster scoring in one inning and finished with a 7-3 loss to the Arkansas Travelers Wednesday.

The Travelers (9-10) picked up their first run in the bottom of the first with an RBI single by Julio Perez. Neither team scored again until the fifth, but Arkansas extended its lead with an RBI single by Ryan Mount. The Travelers then blew the game open in the sixth.

With two outs and two runners on base, Jay Brossman blasted the first pitch he saw over the left-field wall for a three-run home run that extended Arkansas’ lead to 5-0.

The Drillers (6-13) finally got on the board in the eighth inning, when Wilin Rosario connected on a two-run double with the bases loaded. Dayton Buller followed with a groundout that drove in another run and cut the lead to two, but Arkansas responded in the bottom of the inning.

Perez led off with a double and advanced to third on a single by Jeremy Moore. Moore then stole second, and Brossman drove both of them in with a single later in the inning for his fourth and fifth RBIs of the game.

Michael Anton (2-1) earned the win, holding Tulsa scoreless and striking out seven through his six innings of work. Bruce Billings (1-2) was credited with the loss after giving up six hits and four runs in 5.2 innings.

Tulsa has now lost five of its last six games, and will finish its road series with Arkansas at 7:10 p.m. Thursday.
