OU Pitcher Ryan Duke Charged With DUI

In addition to driving under the influence, Duke was also charged with transporting an open container and driving without insurance.

NORMAN, Oklahoma – Oklahoma closing pitcher Ryan Duke has been charged with DUI, and the Sooners will be without him for the first two games of the Big 12 Tournament.

Duke was pulled over on May 20 and was also charged with transporting an open container and driving without valid proof of insurance.

The Norman Transcript is reporting that Duke was suspended by the team for five games, three of which have already been served. He did not play in OU’s three-game sweep of Kansas to end the regular season, and his suspension will extend into the first two games of the conference tournament.
