TULSA, Oklahoma -- Jerome Jordan, the Jamaican seven-footer, made a lasting impact at the University of Tulsa. Now, he waits to hear his name called in the NBA Draft.

"It's been a dream of mine for a while," Jordan stated. "I went from leaving Jamaica, going to high school, and then doing four years in Tulsa. And now it has finally paid off."

Jordan’s draft possibilities have been all over the place. Some projections have Jordan going as early as the late first round. Others have him going as late as the 42nd overall pick.

Jordan and fellow team mate Ben Uzoh have stayed in contact with one another throughout the entire draft process. They have even hired the same agent. Not only do they stay in touch with each other they also give advice and feedback to one another.

"It's good, just giving each other feedback [on]howwe did and what different groups are looking for and just going through the wholeprocess together," Jordan said.

Jordan’s strengths are rebounding and defense. He set the Conference USA and Tulsa records for career blocks with 333. He is also the only player in the school’s history to grab over 800 rebounds in his career. Jordan made the C-USA All Defensive team three times.

Jordan has shown he can score, putting up a career-high 28 points against Central Florida as a junior, but he will probably not be called upon to fill that role in the NBA. Scouts like his size, especially his nearly seven and a half foot wing span, and lean 240 pound frame.

Jordan said he could not have made it this far without the support and encouragement of his coach Doug Wojcik, his team and family.

"Everybody has pretty much helped contribute to who I am today," Jordan said. "They have helped keep me motivated."

No matter where he goes in the draft, Jordan has a chance to make an immediate defensive impact for any team.

The NBA Draft begins Thursday, June 24th at 6 p.m.
