OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz wide receiver Timon Marshall was named the JLS Ironman of the Week. This is Marshall’s second league award of the season.
Marshall led Oklahoma City to its third straight victory over Iowa last Saturday. The wide receiver caught the Dawgz first touchdown of the night with a 14-yard reception from Tommy Grady. Marshall also hauled in a 26-yard catch in the final seconds to squeeze out the win over Iowa. The 52-42 victory was a record night for Marshall, with a season-high 151 receiving yards in 13 receptions and and three touchdown. Marshall also had six kick-off returns for 70 yards.
Earlier this season, Marshall was awarded the Spalding Highlight of the Week for his game winning touchdown against the Bossier-Shreveport BattleWings with 33 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
Marshall has 70 receptions for 792 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. He has put up big numbers on special teams with 66 returns for 1,062 yards and two touchdowns.
