STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A Stillwater woman charged in the meth overdose death of her 15-year-old daughter pleaded guilty in a Payne County court Friday morning.
Doris Rigsby, 33, was charged with first degree murder but pleaded to a reduced charge. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
Authorities say Rigsby helped inject meth into the neck of her daughter, Linda Tucker, during a family reunion at Lake Carl Blackwell on June 26, 2010.
Reports say she was injected with almost 10 times the lethal amount of meth.
Linda was found dead in the back seat of a Suburban after Rigsby went for help several hours later.
According to an autopsy report, Tucker had four needle puncture marks on the left side of her neck. The Medical Examiner ruled her death a homicide.
Jeffrey Phillips, 30, and Linda's brother were also charged in the death of the Cushing teen. Phillips pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 years.
