Pryor, Muskogee And Ardmore Make List Of Nation's 25 Cheapest Cities

PRYOR, Oklahoma -- Living in Oklahoma has its perks.  Price data collected by the Council for Community & Economic Research that tracks housing, transport, health-care, grocery, and other costs in more than 340 urban areas around the country, shows three cities in Oklahoma are on the list of least expensive places in the U.S.

Third on the list of U.S. Cheapest Places To Live is Pryor in Mayes County. The Council for Community & Economic Research shows the cost of living is nearly 15 percent below the national average.

Ranked 9th on the list is Muskogee in Muskogee County. The report says Muskogee is an economic hub in northeastern Oklahoma.

And 19th on the list is Ardmore. The Council for Community & Economic Research says has an unemployment rate of 4.1 percent.
