TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police say a 33-year-old man accidentally shot himself in head early Thursday morning.

Police say the unidentified man was walking with a 13-year-old teen in the 1600 block of South Knoxville just before 1:30 a.m. when he took the handgun and put it to his head and pulled the trigger.

Tulsa Police believe the victim was not familiar with the handgun and didn't intend for it to go off.

The teen was not injured.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
