TULSA, Oklahoma -- Six current Tulsa city councilors have filed paperwork to seek another term on the city council.

Candidates for the council's 9 districts have until Wednesday to file their declarations of candidacy with the Tulsa County Election Board.

As of Tuesday evening, a total of 22 candidates had filed for city offices.

In Tulsa city council District 1, Jack Henderson, the incumbent, filed for re-election.  Twan T Jones also filed for District 1.

Two candidates filed for the district 2 seat, Nancy Rothman and Matthew Foster.  Incumbent Rick Westcott has already said he will not seek re-election.

Incumbent Roscoe Turner and former city councilor David Patrick filed for the district 3 seat.

In district 4, incumbent Maria Barnes filed for another term.  Also filing for that seat were Rocky Frisco, Kenneth Brune, and Liz Hunt.

Incumbent Chris Trail filed for the district 5 seat, along with Karen Gilbert and former councilor Sam Roop.

In district 6, Jim Mautino, the incumbent, filed along with Robert Gwin, Jr. and Byron Steele III.

District 7 councilman John Eagleton is not seeking re-election, but Steven Roemerman and Thomas Mansur filed for that seat on Monday.

Incumbent Bill Christiansen is not seeking the district 8 seat again. On Monday, Phillip Lakin, Jr. filed for Christiansen's seat.

And in District 9, incumbent G.T. Bynum filed as well as Mike Batman.

Incumbent Clift Richards filed for the City Auditor position.

The filing period ends at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011.

The primary election for city of Tulsa will be held September 13, 2011 and the general election is November 8, 2011.

The Tulsa County Election Board office is located at 555 North Denver and is open daily 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
