CATOOSA, Oklahoma – The Catoosa Indians bounced back from their first loss of the season with a 53-21 win against Jay on Friday.
The Bulldogs jumped on the board early, connecting on a 25-yard touchdown pass just more than four minutes into the game.
Catoosa responded quickly with a 3-yard rushing touchdown just two minutes later to tie the game at 7.
That set the tone for a frenzied scoring pace, with both teams posting another touchdown – each with a missed extra point – to finish the first quarter off 13-13.
From there, it was all Catoosa as it rattled off 40 straight points leading all the way into the end of the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs picked up one more score in garbage time to cut into the lead slightly.
Catoosa (6-1) will head to Wagoner next week, while Jay (1-6) will host Mannford.
