Mustang Pulls off Upset over Putnam City

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Defending Class 6A champion Putnam City was upset Tuesday night 70-62 by the Mustang Broncos.

The Broncos (1-1) led nearly the entire game. They jumped ahead 22-17 in the 1st quarter a lead that stayed steady, as Mustang lead 38-34 at half and 53-49 at the end of three quarters.

The Pirates’ (1-1) Ronquis Lewis led all scorers with 24 points, while Mustang many-sport star David Glidden led Mustang with 20 points.
