TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa Police's sex crimes unit is looking for a sexual assault suspect.

Sex crimes detectives say a 18-year-old woman was walking in this neighborhood east of 2200 North Harvard, behind a Braums and Family Dollar.

A man approached her, said something that gave her a bad vibe so she took off running through a field toward the stores, yelling for help. But, she said he caught her and dragged her into a tree line and assaulted her.

"During the daylight at 2:45 in the afternoon, it's extremely rare. We want to remind people, someone comes up to you that you don't know, don't give them the time of day. Sometimes you have to be rude," said Tulsa Police Detective Rod Russo.

The victim went straight home and told her mom, who called police. After going to the hospital for the sexual assault exam, she helped detectives create this composite sketch of the man.

She says he's in his mid 20s, dark complected, 6-foot-3 and more than 200 pounds.

"It's scary and really sad," said neighborhood resident Ketra.

Ketra has lived in the area for about five years and feels pretty secure. She'd seen police checking the bushes, but didn't realize there had been a rape within walking distance of her front door.

"A lot of people are walking around here, you can't tell who's who or who's up to what these days," she said.

Police knocked on doors, but nobody heard or saw anything that might help, so this composite is their best hope of solving the case.
