TULSA, Oklahoma -- About 230 Tulsa County residents were without power Sunday morning after storms fired up across Oklahoma Saturday night. By 11:30 a.m., that number has been reduced to less than 100.

The rain, winds and hail forced a lot of people to change their plans.

Kickoff was delayed twice in Norman for OU-Texas Tech game. Fans had to evacuate the stadium because of lightning.

Oktoberfest was also halted temporarily. The Tulsa festival reopened just after 8 p.m. Organizers didn't want to take any chances at the festival after storms in 2007 knocked down two tents, seriously injuring several people.

"We had some damage to some of the smaller tents, some of our vendor tents," said Bob Randolph of Oktoberfest. "But as far as our big entertainment tents, we weathered just fine."

Lightning is believed to have sparked a fire at an Owasso business at about 7:30 p.m. News On 6 anchor Craig Day reports that County Records Inc., 8813 N. 145th E. Avenue, had a small roof fire that was quickly extinguished by Owasso firefighters.

Strong winds knocked down trees and power lines across town. At the height of the outages, Public Service of Oklahoma reported about 4,500 customers without power in the Tulsa metro area, the majority in the southwest part of town.
