UPDATE: Tulsa Police have released a list of the 13 protesters arrested late Wednesday night at 6th and Boston.
TULSA, Oklahoma -- For the second day in a row, protesters at Occupy Tulsa at 6th and Boston have been arrested by Tulsa Police.
This time, 13 people were taken into custody.
News On 6 was there when about thirty police officers showed up to make the arrests for violating the curfew at the park.
Tulsa Police say 60 to 70 protestors were in the park Wednesday night, many from out of town.
Officers say they plan to be out every night, arresting anyone who stays past the park's curfew which is 11 p.m.
"While we do have the right to peaceful assemble by the first amendment, you still have to follow the guidelines and the laws for the community that you're in. I don't think it's too much to ask for people to assemble on the sidewalk and stay out of the park after curfew," said Tulsa Police officer Jason Willingham.
All 13 Occupy Tulsa protesters arrested were booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of park curfew violations.
Tulsa Police say those arrested include:
- Sean Scotney - Tulsa
- Matthew Green - Tulsa
- Sean Lovell - Blanchard
- Destiny Smith - Oklahoma City
- Jay Vehige - Oklahoma City
- Ventura Esquivel - Oklahoma City
- Joe Briggs - Tulsa
- Jacob Miramontes - Oklahoma City
- Nicholas Saltzman - Oklahoma City
- Brittney Guest - Oklahoma City
- Daniel Lee - Tulsa
- Lawrence Black - Austin, Texas
- Lindsay Scotney - Tulsa
Members of Occupy Tulsa say they plan to ask the Tulsa City Council Thursday evening for a permit that would allow them to remain in the park after curfew.
