City Of Tulsa Names New Director Of Planning And Economic Development
The city of Tulsa has a new director of planning and economic development. Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett announced Monday the appointment of Dawn Warrick to the job.
In a news release, Bartlett says Warrick will be in charge of the planning, real estate management and development services.
"We look forward to Ms. Warrick coming to the City of Tulsa to implement our comprehensive plan, PLANiTULSA. With input across our city during the PLANiTULSA process, it is important that Ms. Warrick immediately begin working to update our zoning code, implementing three crucial small area plans and looking at organizational modifications between divisions and departments that will help the city be more effective in our planning and economic development efforts," Dewey Bartlett said.
Warrick leaves her role as Assistant Director of Planning and Design for the Louisville Metro Government in Louisville, Kentucky.
"I am very excited to have been hired and to have the opportunity to serve as the Planning Director for the City of Tulsa. I am ready to begin developing the programs, policies and partnerships that will effectively implement PLANiTULSA. The community has a vision and it will take the work of many to achieve it. I am pleased to have been chosen to lead that effort," said Dawn Warrick.
Warrick's official start date with the City of Tulsa is December 16, 2011 with a salary of $122,481.
PLANiTULSA, is the city of Tulsa's comprehensive plan which guides the physical development of Tulsa.
