Thanksgiving Day Earthquake Rattles Oklahoma

Another earthquake was felt by many in Green Country Thanksgiving day. The 3.7 magnitude quake was centered near Prague and struck at 3:11 p.m. Thursday.

This is just the latest in series of quakes that has shaken the state the last 30 days. Most of them small, but a few have measured as strong as 5.6.

The U.S. Geological Survey lists this latest event occurring at a depth of 3.2 miles. Many have posted on the News On 6 Facebook page that the felt the 3.7 quake. 

"I felt it. I was sitting at home on my computer. I live in Sand Springs," posted Cindy Gudell Shelton Pearson.

Others from mid-town Tulsa to Mounds have posted they felt it too.

Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest felt by humans.
