SPRINGFIELD, Missouri -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane's recent struggles continued Saturday, falling to the Missouri State Bears 69-64 in overtimes, after overcoming a six-point deficit to lead by two points in the final seconds of regulation.

Missouri State closed the final 10 minutes of the first half on an 11-6 run to take a 26-20 lead into the locker room at halftime.

Back-to-back jumpers from Jordan Clarkson opened the second half and cut the lead to two points, and the teams would battle back and forth for the next 10 minutes.

With 4:54 left in the contest, Scottie Haralson knocked down a three-pointer from the corner to take a 47-44 advantage. On the next trip down the court, Clarkson hit another from outside, giving Tulsa a 50-46 lead with three minutes left in the contest.

A quick five from Missouri State gave the Bears a lead just one minute later, but Haralson connected from outside once again to retake the lead with 1:40 left to play.

The Bears trailed by three in the closing seconds of the game when Anthony Downing knocked one down from the corner with just eight seconds left to play to tie the game and force overtime.

In the extra session, Tulsa connected on jumpers with its first two trips down the court, while Missouri State hit back-to-back threes to take a 62-58 lead just 90 seconds into overtime.

Tulsa battled back, scoring six unanswered over the next two minutes to take a 64-62 lead with 1:40 left to play. However, a three-pointer from Kyle Weems started a 6-0 run to close the game for the Bears to come away with a win.

Caleb Patterson led the charge for Missouri State, finishing the game with 19 points and recording six rebounds, while Weems finished the game with a double-double, scoring 17 and grabbing 12 boards in the win.

Despite the loss, Clarkson was the game's leading scorer with 23 points, six rebounds and four assists in the loss, with Kodi Maduka turning 11 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.

The Golden Hurricane is off for the next four days, before heading to Stillwater for a matchup against the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
