BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma -

Students got a big win at Arrowhead Elementary in Broken Arrow. They received a $25,000 check Wednesday.

The money came from Windstream as part of their Schools Win program.

The kids created a Glogster, an online interactive poster, for service men and women.

"Operation Yes" tells the stories of what it's like to live in a military family. The book inspired the students of Arrowhead Elementary in Broken Arrow.

The students started writing letters and put together care packages for the troops. They spread word about their mission throughout the school using a Glog.

The project took off, and the school submitted a video to be considered for an award with the Classroom Connections program.

They were in the top 30, and then with the help of votes from family friends and community, the kids won!

"It was about honoring local men and women who are serving our nation, and sacrificing for our freedom. It really moved us at Windstream," said Brooke Cochran, Classroom Caravan crew member with Windstream.

Arrowhead Elementary is one of eight final schools that received a $25,000 check.

"It feels pretty cool. I'm honestly pretty happy about it," said Jessica Pelotte, Arrowhead Elementary School student.

The school's principal says the kids poured their hearts and souls into the project.

"It's something that we can continue to make come alive in classrooms for our children. It will keep our kids connected to not only history but history in the making for our students," said Courtney Elias, Arrowhead Principal

The prize money will be used to build a broadcast studio for the kids so they'll be able to broadcast live into the classrooms. They'll also build a mobile iPad lab.
