FORT WORTH, Texas – Tulsa's 23 percent shooting from the floor pretty much said it all.

The Golden Hurricane had trouble scoring in a tough 60-43 loss to TCU on Tuesday night in Fort Worth.

Coach Matilda Mossman said her team not only missed wide open shots, but also took bad shots and missed those as well.

"We outrebounded them," she said. "We had more steals, the turnovers were pretty even, but it comes down to the fact that we have to make shots. We just weren't knocking down shots tonight."

Taleya Mayberry and Chanice Scott were the only TU players to reach double figures on the night. Mayberry had 13 points and Scott added 10.

Taylor Hooker had eight points and a team-high 13 points.

The Golden Hurricane hung tight for most of the first half with eight lead changes in the game's first 15 minutes.

TU led 18-17 with just more than five minutes to play in the first half, but TCU closed out the half on a 12-0 run to take control.

Tulsa (3-6) will now have some time off for the holidays before returning to action on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at home against Nebraska. Tipoff for the game is set for 6 p.m.
