Three Juveniles Lead OHP Troopers On High-Speed Chase Through Tulsa

Three juveniles were arrested Tuesday night after leading Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers on a high-speed chase through parts of Tulsa in a stolen car.

The chase started on I-44 near Catoosa and ended near 91st and Elwood. Two juvenile boys and a girl were taken into custody.

The chase began when OHP troopers attempted a traffic stop for reckless driving around 9 p.m. The trio then took off westbound on I-244.

The chase continued onto U.S. Highway 75 going south and then into a residential area.  The three then led troopers south on Riverside Drive where Tulsa Police had deployed stop sticks.

Despite damaged tires and a police chopper tracking their every move, the trio continued westbound on 71st Street and then onto Elwood where the chase eventually ended.

Troopers had a juvenile male in handcuffs on the ground when a News On 6 crew arrived on scene. Troopers say the girl was reported as a runaway.
