TULSA, Oklahoma – The Golden Hurricane put up their largest conference win in nearly five years on Sunday with a 69-42 win against the Rice Owls.

Four TU players scored in double digits to help their team to its biggest margin of victory in Conference USA play since a 71-43 win against UCF on Feb. 6, 2006.

Tiffani Couisnard, Loren McDaniel, Taylor Hooker and Kadan Brady all put up double figure scoring for the Golden Hurricane.

Couisnard had 15 to lead the team, while McDaniel and Hooker had 13 each and Brady had 11.

Coach Matilda Mossman said the dominant performance started with impressive play on the interior and solid rebounding.

"Our focus was to not let them get as many touches and make it difficult for them to shoot," she said. "That was probably the best all-around game we've played, from the offensive end, defensive end and off the boards."

Tulsa dominated the boards 51-32 in the game. It led by just five at the break (23-18) but started to run away in the second half, leading by as many as 27 points.

TU will hit the court again on Thursday with a road trip to Houston. Tipoff for the game is set for 7 p.m.
